The V6PU1603 Reelin' is a hand created, updated 'homage', by the Vintage® UK ProShop® team to the legendary guitar upon which was played one of the most famous guitar solos of all time. With the body and hardware expertly and faithfully aged, Reelin’ is yet another superb example of the craftsmanship of the Vintage ProShop team of highly skilled luthiers.
Based upon a Vintage ReIssued Series V6, already a firm favourite with guitar players around the world and, The team have created a one-off, ultra-realistic, über distressed Vintage ProShop UNIQUE guitar which plays like a dream and emulates tones which have been famous for half a century or more.
Just like the original, the authentically distressed V6’s alder body and 3-ply scratch plate have also been routed out, to take an open coil double coil pickup in the neck position, retaining the traditional single coil middle and bridge position pickup format.

Body:
Aged blonde American alder body provides resonance, tone and ‘correct weight’ comfort, enhanced with correctly radiused contoured body.
Vibrato:
The Wilkinson WVC vibrato bridge featured on the Vintage V6 is a masterpiece of detail. Positive location, 6 screw design provides return to pitch accuracy; perpendicular bend, high grade steel saddles enhance tonality and ‘snap’. Ground base plate corner provides authentic looks. Stagger drilled cast block significantly enhances return to pitch accuracy and classic vintage tone. The ‘push-in’ Delrin-bushed arm with variable tension provides the arm feel that suits your style.
On Reelin’, and in line with the original’s set up, around the back, the missing vibrato cover reveals a full set of five springs, cranked all the way to the max to pull the vibrato into a rock-solid connection with the body, a simple but effective technique which adds additional harmonic richness and is crucial to Reelin’s signature tone.
Pickups:
Neck: ‘The Mule’, a classic Bare Knuckle 'Patent Applied For' double coil. Renowned for its enormous vintage tone, outstanding clarity, extended dynamic range and exceptional balanced frequency response, ‘The Mule’ features sand-cast alnico IV magnets for a faster response in the bass, fuller mids and better control in the high end. The Middle pickup is an outstanding Zexcoil® Legacy SV5O Vintage Single 5 Overwound. Open, transparent, and glassy with that classic in between position “Quack”. The Bridge pickup is a Bare Knuckle ’59 Slab Board’, with vintage correct, black fibreboard flatwork, hand-bevelled alnico V magnets and scatter-wound by hand with 42AWG Heavy Formvar wire, effortlessly delivering classic vintage single coil tones in abundance.
Controls:
Single master Volume control with Tone control 1 for the neck pickup, and ‘Custom Mod' Tone control 2 for both the middle and bridge pickup. Five-way selector switch.
Machine heads:
Wilkinson WJ55 patented E-Z-Lok machine heads. Simple, effective locking action for increased tuning stability. Staggered string post heights provide correct string rake angle and tension with a smooth vibrato action if you need it!
Neck:
Hard rock Maple with classic Vintage ‘soft C’ profile for instant comfort, speed, accuracy, and great feel.
Fingerboard:
Traditional 10" radius rosewood fingerboard provides positive feel and superior playability.
Frets:
22 Medium profile frets add to comfort, accuracy, and overall positive feel of the Vintage V6.
