From the offset, the visual concept of the Vintage ReIssued Series V100 solid bodied guitar, is stunning and screams with attitude.
It’s from this classic series that this V100 has had the privilege of passing through the hands of the Vintage ProShop team of highly skilled craftsman, emerging as a beautiful looking instrument, the Vintage ProShop V100PU0015.
The original finish has been removed and, like the body and neck, expertly re spayed with a see-though Purple to Black Burst with a nitrocellulose lacquered finish, highlighting the detailed, figure maple cap.
This gorgeous finish is offset with a cream body binding, chrome hardware, black/silver top-hat control knobs, black pickguard and black pickup surrounds.
Like all Vintage instruments, the playability of the ProShop V100PU0015 speaks for itself and sounds as good as it looks, loaded with a pair of wax-potted Seymour Duncan ‘Hottie’ humbuckers with alnico II magnets, renowned for creamy mids, looking extra cool with ‘flamed etched’ covers.
Both humbuckers offer a balanced coil configuration, specifically designed for their positions within the guitar, and are wired as per the 1950’s, period correct with enamel-coated wire and single conductor braided cable.
Played clean, the neck pickup, with an output of 7.3k delivers the warmest mellow jazz tones, whilst the bridge unit at 8.5k has the edge. The delivery is as sweet as honey and will more than please the hardest tone aficionado.
Need we say, add crunch or distortion and the Vintage ProShop V100PU0015 is perfect for overdriven chords and soaring solos, the ideal studio or stage guitar and the perfect choice for clean, mellow jazz, blues and hard rock…50’s style.
For precise and secure tuning, the V100PU0015 also features a set of high quality Graphtech Ratio calibrated machine heads, with balanced gear ratios assigned to each string gauge.
