The Vintage ProShop V59 Blue Sparkle is another fine example of the highly skilled Vintage ProShop team who are indeed masters of ‘the art of aging’.
These professional luthiers have taken an original V59 from the distressed ICON Series, which in itself, is a guitar players guitar in every sense of the word, instantly recognised with its incredibly authentic aged finish and double bound body.
Whilst the yellowed body bindings and worn areas remain, the Vintage ProShop team have spent hours hand-sanding the original Tobacco Sunburst finish back to first base, then, with years of expertise, have applied a gorgeous Blue Sparkle top coat.
The original wear and tear abrasions are then highlighted once again, revealing areas of the Eastern poplar, offset with a white single-ply pickguard. The distressed theme extends to the bolt-on V62 maple neck and headstock, authentically aged the only way these master craftsmen know how.
Fitted with a pair of Wilkinson single coils the Vintage ProShop V59 Blue Sparkle, is capable of providing a multitude of musical tones, ideal for country, jazz, blues and rock styles. All hardware, including Wilkinson Deluxe WJ55S machine heads, control panel and controls, along with the world famous Wilkinson GTBCR compensating bridge have again, been carefully and meticulously aged to blend into the pre-worn picture.
